Je connais les volumes 1 et 3 et quasiment tout y est superlatif. Même les grands noms sont là, au meilleur de leur art (voir le "Lost someone" de James Brown, ici en version studio plus rare que le live à l'Apollo). Quand aux moins connus, ils sont tous flamboyants, et, qualité rare dans les compilations soul, souvent surprenants ("It's not that easy" de Reuben Bell & The Casanovas, incroyable de lividité et de mystère).
